Accommodation and Travel


    Pisa is connected by direct flight to several European airports. Florence airport (FLR),  at 70 min by shuttle bus to Pisa, offers additional opportunities to travel to Pisa.

    The city is connected to Florence and the other main towns of Tuscany by frequent regional trains.

    Accommodation is not provided to participants.  If you are offered a place on the course, here is a (non complete) list of accommodation options.

    The newly opened University Guesthouse provides great accommodation at affordable prices for students and university guests in the charming former Monastery of the Benedettine (highly recommended).

    Also the University of Pisa adheres to HousingAnywhere, the first student-to-student housing platform.

    Special rates are offered by the hotel Abitalia Tower Plaza, the Residence San Rossore and Paim Turismo.

    Foinsa offers studio-flats and rooms for foreign students.

    Amongst the numerous other facilities in Pisa, University students and guests can also find rooms at Residence Tulipan and at the Pensionato Universitario “Giuseppe Toniolo”.
